While a “foodie” I may not be - I do appreciate innovation, especially when it comes to technology. AvroKO, the design firm behind restaurant Double Crown just launched their latest foray into the social networking world. They recently put forth “Expedition East: An Asian Convocation” - detailing the inner workings and behind the scenes action leading up to their spring menu.

It’s quite cool to check out, and gives a peek behind the process of it all. And at the end of the day, isn’t that what intrigues us the most?

Check it out for yourself. I promise - you won’t be disappointed.

I’m loving what CA$HMERE has done. Those sweaters are amazing and the cardigan with the “drip” has THE MALCOLM’s name all over it. John Scher, the designer and founder of CA$HMERE spoke to us and gave us a quote about what inspired his creations.
“The FW 10 collection was inspired by contemporary art merged with elements of luxury branding. We used various techniques such as intarsia, printing and applique to interpret our concept of art and commerce. Deconstructing iconic imagery with a bit of wit is a consistent element in each collection”

Polished. Refined. Constructed. Craftsmanship. Last week marked the J.CREW Fall/Winter 2010 men’s presentation at Milk Studios. Their collection marks a turning point for the brand - creating a unified look that really works for the modern gentleman. The clothes have a certain casual air surrounding them - leaving it to the person putting on the garments to put their own spin on the final look they create. And THAT my friends, is the epitome of style.

PALLADIUM PRESENTS: LONDON PIRATE RADIO

To coincide with the re-launch of the legendary boot brand in the UK market, Palladium’s intrepid explorers took to the rooftops of London’s inner city tower blocks to find illegal pirate radio antenna, and into the hidden studios of the pirates themselves.

Born in the 1960’s, the original pirates found an offshore base of operations in rusting anti-aircraft towers standing in the mouth of the River Thames.  These strange structures remain today and Palladium took a boat ride to climb aboard and see where pirate radio started.   Today, pirate radio is everywhere in London, hidden in plain sight.  While the internet is changing the landscape of radio broadcasting, the pirate’s role of breaking new music remains the same.

Palladium’s UK launch was marked with an event in conjunction with retailer size in East London’s Shoreditch, at The Old Blue Last, voted the UK’s best live music venue by the NME.  The event included the first public screening of Palladium’s London Pirate Radio documentary film, and performances by DJ’s and MC’s from the film, including Logan Sama, J2K, Jammer and Ms Dynamite.  Featured in the documentary, London-based grime DJ Logan Sama has put together an exclusive mix for Palladium.  Streaming now at www.palladiumboots.com
