I just got back from Costa Rica, and it was a crazy surf adventure! You know, I’ve been surfing since I was six years old and am building a house in Playa Negra, since I go a few times a year anyway. Costa Rica is known for its amazing surf and Roca Bruja in Guancaste has a particularly perfect break. You have to take a boat from Playa del Coco, and on our way, we ran into this truck load of workers. We hope they weren’t travelling too far…

Once we got to Playa del Coco, we had to get on a small boat to get to our final destination, Roca Bruja, also know as Witch’s Rock.

Roca Bruja is in the middle of nowhere, and it really looks beautiful and untouched and lush. Costa Rica is the most biodiverse place in the world.

Here I am, at rest and in mid flight!

Roca Bruja: there is all this folklore about an old witch that lived inside the rock and controlled the tide.

We surfed for a while, caught some waves and left in the late afternoon. Pura Vida!
